Choose The Running Plan That's Right For You
We customize your dog's workouts depending on his age and overall fitness level, offering a variety of challenging running options, including our popular Pack Runs. After each completed run, we refill water bowls, provide treats (as directed by parents), then send you a personalized GPS route-map & photos of your dog in action!
the fun run
This the most casual running option that we offer, great for younger dogs who are new to running or older dogs working on weight issues. The Fun Run combines walking with intermittent light jogging, beginning with intervals of 5 minutes walking for every 1 minute of jogging.

2+ Weekly Runs: $45/Run
The active pup
The average dog will enjoy this running option. We run at a moderate pace for 5 minutes, then take periodic walk breaks to regulate the heart rate. The Active Pup is great for dogs who have some experience running and are comfortable covering 3-6 miles in an hour.

2+ Weekly Runs: $50/Run
Discounted Pack Runs Available
the endurance pup
The Endurance Pup is the best workout for serious dog runners. After a brief warm-up, your dog will continuously run at a moderate pace for well over an hour. Great for high energy breeds who never want to slow down, expect to cover 6-10 miles with this option.
Duration: 80 mins
2+ Weekly Runs: $60/Run
Pack Runs: More Fun, More Affordable!
For dogs who play well with others, we offer the Pack Run option. The Pack Run is a one hour group workout, great for socialized dogs who love to run with friends. The workout is similar to that of The Active Pup, with moderate running and periodic walk breaks, usually covering around 5 miles over 60 minutes. For safety reasons, each runner is limited to 3 dogs max, so larger packs are assigned additional runners. To ensure successful Pack Runs, we always run 1:1 with your dog before introducing him to a group setting. This allows us to gauge temperament and fitness levels so we can match like-minded pups with one another. Scheduling Pack Runs can sometimes be a challenge early-on, but this is hands-down the best workout we offer! Dogs LOVE it, and the Pack Run is our most affordable running option!

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes run my pup different from wag or rover?
Run My Pup is not a dog walking service. We do one thing and we do it really well: we run with your dogs! We believe that a leisurely dog walk, while beneficial, does not satisfy most dogs’ exercise needs. Services like Wag and Rover are great when your dog needs a quick potty break, but for most dogs a 30 minute walk leaves your dog wanting and needing more. Run My Pup focuses exclusively on your dog's fitness, including cardiovascular conditioning and endurance building. Our team of vetted runners loves what they do, and nothing makes us happier than returning to your home with a tired and happy dog!
What are the requirements to have my dog run?
We require that dogs be up to date on vaccinations. In addition, we will not run a dog with a history of aggression. You should always consult with your veterinarian before starting a running program. Puppies under one year old, elderly dogs, or those with chronic health issues may not be ready to start a running program.
How many dogs do you run at a time?
For safety reasons, we limit our pack runs to no more than 3 dogs per runner. Larger pack runs are assigned additional runners.
I have 2 dogs, can you run both of them at the same time?
Yes! In fact, adding a second dog only costs $10 more. Both dogs must be picked up at the same location, and dogs should have similar fitness levels.
How often do you recommend my dog runs with Run My Pup?
Just like humans, dogs need time to recover after a good workout. While exercising daily is beneficial for all dogs, we typically recommend 2-3 quality runs per week so your dog remains strong and energized. Some high-energy breeds run 5 days a week with us, but most dogs fall in the 2-3 run range.
do pet parents have to be home during the run?
We require meeting pet parents prior to the first run only. After the first run, we can make key or lockbox arrangements so we can pick up your pup for his scheduled run.
how do i schedule my dog’s workouts?
To ensure runner availability, we schedule all runs one week in advance. Requests must be submitted no later than Friday for runs the following week. To schedule, text us at 619.204.5612 and we’ll confirm your pup’s run within 24 hours (usually much quicker). If you’d like to schedule recurring time slots, we can schedule up to 2 months out.
what time of day do you run?
We run 3 different times throughout the day: morning, mid-day and evening. Morning runs usually begin between 7:30-8:30, mid-day runs are between 11:30 and 12:30, and evening runs are after 5:00. Morning and evening runs tend to be a bit more fun for the pups since we can run on the bay and beach.
Do you run with a leash?
Always. You can either provide a leash (or harness), or we can bring a leash with us.
Do you run in all weather?
We typically run rain or shine, but there are a few weather conditions which may warrant a reschedule. In the summer, we keep an eye out on the temperature. Dogs do not tolerate heat as well as humans, so running when it’s extra hot out puts dogs at risk for heat exhaustion and dehydration. Every dog is different, but in general, we will reschedule a run if the temperature is above 80°.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT AND WHEN DO I PAY?
We accept Venmo (preferred) or cash. Payment for the entire week is due after the 1st completed run.
